Deliverables List

  • DAO implementation: $35,000
    • We want our entire protocol to be governed by a DAO, making the system decentralized and empowering the users.
    • The basic protocol is functional but requires a DAO contract to manage the protocol so the admin can’t alter unwanted parameters on the Blend pools.
    • Lockup contract for DAO token distribution.
    • Tokeconomics for the DAO token.
    • Allow users to create new proposals about the protocol such as minting new stablecoins, blend pool parameters, updates to smart contracts like the pegkeeper, and overall governance of the system.
    • Creating an SDK for our DAO and using this for a voting UI enabling voting mechanisms
  • Fixing Issues related to Audit - $10,000
    • After implementing the DAO contract the full protocol needs to be audited and any issues arise fixed. The budget is higher than most would allocate to this due to the fact that there may be more issues that we can predict.
  • Liquidation bot - $5,000
    • Creating an open-source liquidation bot that utilizes the pegkeeper capabilities. This can be adapted by anyone to create new strategies that they deem profitable. By having an open-source liquidation bot this helps maintain the peg of all the various stablecoins as users can find arbitrage opportunities alongside protecting the system against bad debt.
  • Testing : $15,000
    • We need to test our pegkeeper and other smart contracts before the mainnet launch to identify and address any potential issues, such as depegging, hyperinflation, or other critical problems. We also want to be able to test our DAO to see if it can do what it is meant to do and see if any issues come up with voting, making new proposals, etc. We will be live on testnet for the coming months to see if any issues arise and fix them.
  • UI: $5,000
    • We are integrating existing functionalities from Blend/Soroswap and our DAO into our own UI. Bringing everything in-house onto one site enhances the user experience significantly, simplifying access to every aspect of the ecosystem.
  • Protocol Overview: $5,000
    • Tracking positions in the Blend pool, accessible to third parties for liquidation bot creation, and managing other metrics like total volume across the entire protocol
  • Extending collateral & stablecoin support : $5,000
    • We currently allow users to use XLM as collateral for our stablecoins, but we want to extend collateral support. We also want to extend the range of stablecoins available. All of this requires careful consideration of parameters as seen in the litepaper of the current deliverable

Total Expected Roadmap

As mentioned this was going to be our final submission for Orbit to SCF before mainnet launch. We are expected to be live on mainnet 3-5 months depending on results of audits and testing. This phase, as mentioned in our last submission, focuses on expanding the protocol's capabilities, growing its user base, and beginning the transition to community-led governance, setting the groundwork for the protocol's future. After the mainnet launch of Orbit we plan to continue working on Orbit and products alongside Orbit such as a decentralized fx platform where people will be able to trade orbit stablecoins with leverage.

Product & Architecture

  • OrbitCDP enables users to leverage their cryptocurrency holdings by using them as collateral to borrow stablecoins in various different currencies such as oUSD, oEUR, and much more. Users can overcollateralize XLM to mint stablecoins of a range of currencies through its blend pool. This blend pool allows users to deposit XLM to borrow a stablecoin of their choice enhancing liquidity and stability across the platform. The stablecoins are added to the blend pool by the treasury contract with deposits of new stablecoins to the pool. These stablecoins can then be utilized for various financial activities such as trading, and international transactions, providing flexibility and utility to cryptocurrency holders within the OrbitCDP ecosystem
  • OrbitCDP mitigates cryptocurrency volatility by allowing users to collateralize their XLM and convert them into stablecoins, offering a reliable medium of exchange. This helps users avoid the need to sell their crypto assets during market downturns, thus maintaining liquidity. Additionally, OrbitCDP issued stablecoins can help facilitate fast and low-cost international transactions using Stellar's blockchain, making cross-border payments in different currencies more efficient. Furthermore, by providing stablecoins backed by XLM collateral, OrbitCDP helps users in developing countries with volatile currencies to protect their wealth and conduct transactions more reliably.
