Total Expected Roadmap

Phase 1 Platform build

  • Description: Develop front and back-end features to have a fully functional website and/or mobile app working. Build, test and deploy blockchain functionalities such as wallet connection, smart contract liquidity pool, dashboarding, on-chain and off-chain settlement where applicable. Complete all necessary partnership and blockchain integration in Web2 and Web3 settings to have onboarding and transaction experience streamlined.  All ecosystem participants including users, partners, investors, regulators and the community can easily understand our product, value prop and transact themselves with minimal support needed or complaint.
  • Timeline: 0 - 6 months
  • Budget: $200000, Stellar Foundation Community Fund, founder bootstrapping

Phase 2 Asset Partnerships

  • Description: Form key asset partnership to bring Web2 yield-bearing assets onto blockchain. Look for high quality underserved projects in developed and developing markets that produce 5% to 20% APY. Except for US treasury bills, all other assets need high quality collateral to reduce risk and assure investors or liquidity providers. Identify and reach agreement with one or two companies as launch partners, and build 10-20 asset companies in the pipeline. All asset partnerships are secured with proper legal paperwork under the applicable jurisdictions. We have a QA and due diligence process built in liquidity sourcing to reduce any risk and threats to our reputation.
  • Timeline: 2 - 18 months, already identified two asset companies as launch partners.
  • Budget: $200000, Stellar Community/Matching Fund, other grants, early stage VC

Phase 3 Liquidity partnerships

  • Description: after asset partnerships are formed and tokenized RWA assets are generating yield, we need to aggressively seek liquidity partnerships and find capital to match with the assets and their funding needs. Svim Finance will spend our budget on marketing campaigns, sponsor events, direct sell, and leverage other partners, agencies and relevant resources to secure liquidity in Web2 and Web3 worlds. Aim to have 50-100 liquidity sources in the pipeline secured by proper paperwork. We also have a QA and due diligence process built in liquidity sourcing to reduce any risk and threats to our reputation.
  • Timeline: 3-24 months
  • Budget: $200000, Stellar Foundation Matching/Enterprise Fund, other grants, mid-stage VC

Phase 4 Product, assets, and geography expansion

  • Description: For our credit based product, we will expand to related product variations while still leveraging our core front and back end platform functionalities. Meanwhile, we will also aggressively expand to different geographic markets and industry segments. This is to scale our transaction volume, TVL and revenues for our treasury, investors and ecosystem participants. We’ll also develop and build non-credit products with business or technology innovations to level up to the next frontiers of TradFi and DeFi convergence. Innovation examples include RWA-backed stablecoins, secondary market trading, asset management, and white label B2B services.
  • Timeline: 18 - 30 months
  • Budget: $500000, Stellar Enterprise Fund, other grants, mid-stage VC

Phase 5 Token issuance & listing

  • Description: To incentivize Svim FInance community, partners, investors and all contributing parties, we plan to issue a utility token and list it on decentralized exchanges (DEX) and top centralized exchanges (CEX). The utility token will have a suite of benefits including governance, voting, staking rewards, fee discount, asset origination, liquidity rewards, etc.
  • Timeline: 18-24 months
  • Budget: $500000, late stage VC

Phase 6 Further decentralization

  • Description: When the platform reaches a relatively mature stage, it’s time to further decentralize the protocol and introduce more diverse participants. With proper governance framework, token incentives, policy and enforcement mechanism, we will create a DAO that plays a major role in further managing the protocol and platform. Industry leading DAO government tools and practice will be adopted to ensure community trust and operational efficiency.
  • Timeline: beyond 36 months
  • Budget: $300000, protocol treasury

Other Chain Description

Svim Finance is a relatively early-stage startup project, which I think is a good fit for the SDF community fund application. We build real world assets tokenization and are building on EVM chains. We choose EVM chains because of the wide adoption, straightforward smart contract, high secure network, and significant amount of investable crypto capital. Stellar’s smart contract is relatively new and different from EVM’s solidity based contract system. We like the financial focus from Stellar and the innovations to add more robust blockchain functionalities such as the new smart contract. Though the general logic would be the same or similar for our tokenization workflow between EVM and Stellar, we expect new development and integration work to accommodate the new tech stack and programming language.

Product & Architecture

Svim Finance builds a real-world assets tokenization marketplace and liquidity hub to help global investors allocate capital, diversify assets, optimize finance, and hedge risk. We connect Web2 yield bearing assets and Web3 yield seeking capital to match their financial need through blockchain powered decentralized liquidity pools.

The problem:

For Web2 assets:

  • Expensive capital: High inflation, high capital cost. Banks underserve, high overhead, discrete changes
  • Limited reach: Asset owners are restricted by geo border, gov policy, funds movement, inconsistent processes
  • Outdated infra: Excessive legacy systems, many silos, lack of automation, error prone, slow settlement
  • Low efficiency: Lack of global standard, high entry barrier, questionable transparency, not 24 x 7 running

For Web3 capital:

  • Poor risk-reward balance: Low risk low yield, or high-risk sketchy yield, lack of solid reliable middle ground
  • Stressful mindset: Constant concerns about cybersecurity, rug pull, phishing, bots, protocol failure
  • Lack of diversification: Crypto assets highly volatile & correlate, all eggs in one basket, bad investment risk
  • Little legal protection: On-chain protection is weak for unhappy cases. Little or no real-world legal recourse

Our solution:

We build a real-world asset tokenization marketplace to source high quality yield-bearing real world assets, and set up liquidity pools and introduce global crypto investors to match the supply and demand of liquidity.

We achieve this by leveraging automated public blockchain infrastructure and ledger system, smart contract functionality such as Stellar Soraban to parameterize financial transaction terms, and collaborating with off-chain Web2 partners, asset issuers, and professional service providers.

Web2 asset owners will go through consulting, onboarding, due diligence, borrow and repayment process. Web3 investors will go through onboarding, Stellar wallet whitelisting, KYC/AML, capital allocation and redemption process.

Svim Finance serves as a decentralized service provider to facilitate the end-to-end user experience and transaction flow.  Asset owners and liquidity providers both enjoy our platform because of higher user control, reduced cost, improved efficiency, and optimized financial return.

The benefits:

For Web 2 assets:

  • Cheaper capital: interest-rate arbitrage, easy funds movement, reduce cost compared with traditional funding options.
  • Expanded reach: global investable assets, global capital allocation. Improved financial inclusion and reduced barriers of entry, level playing field between institutions and retail investors.
  • Upgraded infra: enjoy blockchain automation such as Soroban, decentralized ledge system and smart contract powered transaction terms. Reduced waiting time, human error and manual work.
  • Higher efficiency: Global unified on-chain standard from Stellar network, high transparency, Web2/Web3 dashboard, 24x7 operating powered by Stellar open for all infrastructure.

For Web3 capital:

  • Good risk-reward balance: reliable and predictable yield, sustainable asset class and cash flow.
  • Reduced risk: lower cybersecurity risk, rug pull, phishing, stablecoin depeg risk, etc.
  • Investment diversification: hedge highly correlated crypto assets, allocate assets off-chain to hedge down cycle or black swan event.
  • Better protection: real-world legal framework and ownership protection. Fully defined collateral and liquidation process, including insurance coverage where applicable.

Market size:

According to BCG consulting, RWA tokenization will be growing ti $16T by 2030. It’s early.

Revenue model

We charge a service fee ranging from 0.3% to 3% depending on asset class, geography and other factors.

How it relates to Stellar
