Deliverables List

⚠️ SCF#28 Feedback Note: This statement addresses budgeting concerns. My intent is to be direct and constructive - we all want what's best for the ecosystem! ⚠️

The ZIRIZ team has been grinding for over 6 months on what we initially thought was a 3-month project. Even after doubling our initial developer estimate, we were surprised by the complexity. Despite this, we're proud of what we've built with our $48,000 activation reward.

We should've applied for community funding sooner, but we wanted to reach mainnet first. Check out our product (still on testnet) at https://test.ziriz.app/ - it demonstrates our ability to maximize allocated funds and our commitment to quality, even when our time estimates were off.

With that said, we believe the following estimates are as accurate as possible. Based on community feedback, we've adjusted our budgets for Metatransactions and the Point/Quest/Notification System to include groundwork for our API service offering:

[Metatransactions (Sponsored Mints)]

- Description: Users of our dApp are brand new to blockchain and don't have XLM in their wallet. We need to refactor our UI and contract to allow ziriz to mint on behalf of our users.

- Completion: Well tested end to end user journey deployed on mainnet. Sub-tasks include design, UI update, smart contract update, integration.
- Budget: 15,000

- Deliverable Date: September 1st

[Mainnet Deployment]

- Description: We're excited to move ziriz to mainnet (dependent on the ability to sponsor mints)

-  Completion: Contract review (informal audit), Devops/environment setup, deployment, Smart Deploy refactor, public release announcement.

- Budget: 10,000

- Deliverable Date: September 15th

[Point System]

- Description: 90% of the users we onboard do not come back so we need a retention mechanism. A point system meets this need and also gives new-to-crypto users a way to create and collect ZIRIZ editions. The point system is also a frugal way for ZIRIZ to do marketing and engagement without spending grant funds on incentives.

- Completion: Point system architecture and implementation, XLM conversion mechanism, web notifications, UI updates to accommodate rewards for daily activity, onboarding quests, and partner event quests.

- Budget: 30,000

- Deliverable Date: September 1st

[UX Iteration]

- Description: Through canny and OpenReplay we are collecting user feedback on issues and features that will make ZIRIZ successful outside of our brave early users willing to test with rough edges.

- Completion: This recurring cost covers addressing 10-15 minor bugs and enhancements a month for 3 months.

- Budget: 9,000

- Deliverable Date: September 1st, October 1st, November 1st

[Digital Collectable Service API]

- Description: B2B solutions for partners interested in our tokenomics model.

- Completion: Functional API and white-label solution.

- Budget: 15,000

- Deliverable Date: November 1st

Progress on Previous (Awarded) Submissions

In sum, we have completed the deliverables in line with our activation award. It took more than twice the time we expected, but we are satisfied with the MVP and are looking forward to implementing the features we need for GTM in with our Community Award. Read our detailed release notes and try the MVP yourself

✅ Deliverable 1: Smart Contract Development for Ziriz Non Transferable NFTs

  • Description: Develop and test smart contracts for the Ziriz Non Transferable NFTs protocol on Soroban, building upon SEP-0039.
  • Completion Measurement: Functional smart contracts on a testnet, with documentation.
  • Status: Smart contract is complete and functioning on testnet. Currently being refactored to allow creators to mint art by spending points, so that ziriz can sponsor the mint costs in XLM.

✅ Deliverable 2: Development of MVP PWA for Ziriz Front End

  • Description: Develop a Progressive Web App (PWA) as an MVP that includes key user journeys: creators minting artwork, fans browsing and buying artwork. Stretch goals for PWA: users requesting payouts to their Stellar wallets, social sharing of artwork.
  • Completion Measurement: A functional PWA allowing users to perform all listed activities with a smooth user experience.
  • Status: Core user journeys of creators minting and fans buying are complete. Stretch goal of social sharing is in place. User payouts are deferred while we prioritize the adoption funnel by shifting to a point system for minting and sales.

✅ Deliverable 3: Integration of Smart Contracts with Front End

  • Description: Integrate the Ziriz Non Transferable NFTs protocol into the Ziriz progressive web application.
  • Completion Measurement: Successful protocol integration, evidenced by user journey completion.
  • Status: Integration has been successful and we are talking with another startup about using our token protocol and smart contracts for their project; which gives us great confidence in the value of our underlying technology.

Product & Architecture

Product Overview: Ziriz unites creators and fans to drive sales of digital collectibles, one edition at a time. Each new sale benefits the entire community, fostering a thriving and sustainable ecosystem where everyone shares in the success.

Problems Solved & Audience: Ziriz addresses key issues in today's digital platforms such as unsustainable engagement, limited discoverability, and unfair royalties. By avoiding speculative tokenomics, Ziriz offers an authentic and rewarding experience for creators and fans, particularly targeting the creator and fandom economies.

How It Works: The app enables fans to earn rewards by showcasing their tastes and supporting creators, fostering an engaging and sustainable discovery model. This is achieved through a primary sales structure that avoids the complexities of securities and royalties, ensuring a transparent and vibrant ecosystem. The token issuance model, focusing on non-transferable editions, sets Ziriz apart from other Web3 platforms.

Utilization of Stellar and/or Soroban: Ziriz leverages Stellar and Soroban for its blockchain transactions, ensuring fast, low-cost, and scalable operations. Stellar's infrastructure supports the app's primary sales model, while Soroban will be utilized for smart contract functionality.

Project Type [If End-User Applications]

Total Expected Roadmap

Phase 2, 79,000: Accelerated building and iteration with learnings from the MVP phase, through September 2024.

Phase 3, 100,000: GTM with in house skills (10+ years ad industry experience with hands on activations across APA/EMEA/AMER, 4+ years blockchain GTM experience), strategic partnerships, point to token conversion, from winter 2024 through spring 2025.

Funding Beyond SCF is looking positive in line with our pitch deck revenue streams: marketplace fees, subscriptions, and a service model. With the MVP alone we have attracted service model business requests so we're confident about pushing these prospects forward on mainnet.
