Ben, our accomplished Senior Full Stack Engineer with a diverse background spanning industries such as financial services and real estate. Ben's technical prowess is exemplified by his role in developing the original MyIconWallet web and mobile wallets, showcasing his ability to create user-friendly and secure solutions in the fintech space. Notably, Ben served as the lead engineer for the development of Hana Chrome, where his leadership and expertise played a pivotal role in bringing innovative features to the forefront.

Hana Wallet has the capabilities of MetaMask, Freighter, ICONex, Keplr, Polkadot.js all in one. But built for everyday users.

In our SCF Activation grant we successfully integrated Stellar support into our Chrome, iOS and Android applications. Our aim now is to build on this initial work to integrate Soroban Defi protocols natively into Hana.

Our goal of this submission is to create an effortless onboarding experience to the Stellar network and when interacting with Soroban Defi protocols.

We're focusing on two primary areas:

1. Simplifying the entry for users through on-ramp/off-ramps and cross-chain swaps within Hana.

2. Enhance the DeFi experience by integrating Soroban protocols natively in Hana. Ensuring a seamless DeFi experience.

The 4 native experiences we're focussed on are:

1. OnRamp/OffRamp: Utilising existing Anchors via SEP24

2. Cross-chain swaps: Integrate the Axelar integration for cross-chains swaps from other blockchains to Stellar.

3. DEX aggregation: Aggregate liquidity within Stellar classic and Soroban to give the user the best price when swapping assets within the Stellar ecosystem

4. Yield bearing assets: Integrate yield bearing protocols natively within Hana.

This initial work will allow us to easily add additional Soroban protocols and projects natively within Hana in the future.

Over the past few months we've been working with a number of teams building in the Soroban ecosystem. Our aim was to learn what is being built and how we can natively integrate these protocols.

[Deliverable 1] OnRamp/OffRamp - SEP 24

We want everyday users to be able to move between Stellar and traditional finance smoothly and quickly. Deliverable 1 is to add OnRamp and OffRamp support across all Hana platforms (Chrome, iOS and Android).

The majority of this work is adding SEP24 support, once complete we can easily add additional anchors.

[Deliverable 2] Cross-chain Swaps

Axelar is already coming to Stellar 🎉

Deliverable 2 is to expand Hana swaps to include Squid Router's coming support of Stellar. (https://www.squidrouter.com/). Hana swaps already have Squid Router integrated, the scope is to expand this integration to include Stellar.

We're working with Omar from the SDF and the Axelar team to be ready to release our integration as early as possible.

Included use-cases:

• Users will be able to perform native cross-chain swaps with Stellar and the other chains available in Hana, e.g. Ethereum, Injective, Polygon, Osmosis etc (Chrome, iOS and Android)

[Deliverable 3] Stellar liquidity aggregation

Our swap feature aggregates liquidity options for users natively in Hana. Deliverable 3 is to add the liquidity from Stellar classic AMMs, Soroswap (https://soroswap.finance/) and the Phoenix Defi Hub (https://www.phoenix-hub.io/) into Hana swaps.

In combination with deliverable 2, users have a simple UX to perform intra or inter chain swaps for Stellar.

We have been working with the relevant teams for the past few months to understand the requirements of their protocols.

Included use-cases:

• Users will select the assets they want to swap and Hana will check the pricing in the Stellar classic liquidity pools, Soroswap and the Phoenix Defi Hub and provide the user with the best pricing (Chrome, iOS and Android) to perform the swap.

[Deliverable 4] Yield bearing assets

Natively integrate yield bearing products available within Stellar/Soroban. Deliverable 4 will integrate Blend (https://blend.capital/), Slender (https://slender.fi/), yAssets from Ultra Stellar (https://ultrastellar.com/assets/).

We have been working with the relevant teams for the past few months to understand the requirements of their protocols.

Included use-cases:

• Users will be given the options to deposit/withdraw their assets into the Blend, Slender and the Ultra Stellar yAsset product offerings natively within Hana (Chrome, iOS and Android).

[Deliverable 5] feeBump transaction support

Enable DeFi functionality for users without XLM in their wallets, including those new to Stellar who may have used on-ramp or swapped to USDC directly on Stellar.

• Users will be able to use Hana swaps and yield bearing products on Stellar without the need for XLM in their wallet (Chrome, iOS and Android).

[Deliverable 6] Soroban dApp signing UI improvements

The current UI for a user when signing Soroban dApp requests is too technical. We’d like to spend a little time making this as user friendly as possible.

Deliverable 6 is looking the operations in a Soroban dApp request and providing a more user friendly representation of the JSON data.

Included use-cases:

• Where possible users will be presented with a user friendly representation of the Soroban contract they are signing (Chrome, iOS and Android).

Hana maintains its self-sufficiency by earning commissions on the DeFi offerings natively integrated within our apps. As new Defi products become available on Soroban we will work with the teams directly on integrating them within Hana.

Our focus moving forward will be on marketing, attracting new users and showcasing the opportunities within Stellar.
