Use Case: CW specializes in rental and property management services, primarily catering to a nomadic clientele for their rental and short-stay offerings. Understanding that these customers might not have access to the local fiat currency or be able to use their debit/credit cards, CW needed an alternative payment solution. By implementing the Tender POS terminal, they successfully provided these customers with a viable payment option for their services.

The funding allocated by SCF will be utilized to cover the developer's working hours, the expenses associated with API integrations, and the production of a 90-second animated advertisement demonstrating the use of Stellar XLM/USDC with a Tender Merchant terminal.

Tender Merchant imposes a fee of up to 1.5% and a fixed charge of $100 on transactions conducted through the terminal. Additionally, there is a fee for withdrawing and converting to local fiat currency.

Since its beta launch in July 2023, Tender Merchant has successfully processed over $800,000 in in-store transactions via its terminals.
 

The planned roadmap for Tender on the Stellar network is outlined below:

1. Initial steps include integrating Stellar as a supported blockchain on the Tender platform, with initial support for XLM and USDC. Following this, Tender plans to expand its offerings to include other verified stablecoins within the Stellar ecosystem. The completion of this integration is targeted for January 15th, 2024.
2. Tender intends to develop and launch an advertising campaign that emphasizes the benefits of using Stellar XLM/USDC as a payment method, powered by Tender. The approach for this campaign is inspired by an existing advert by Circle.
