Existing, Significant and Active Userbase?

We currently have a database of 1600 users from our Federation records. As a non-custodial tool, we cannot report much on the numbers but the federation records are proof of users (football fans) who have registered with us.

Kipaji Social has so far signed two football club and is in the process of signing 7 more before the leagues officially start in Nov.

The tow clubs currently have support of over 10,000 fans, with social media following of 7000 followers each. We have seen a sign up rate of 1600 fans so far and the numbers should triple as soon as the local league startups.

Deliverables List

Deliverables List

Using strategic partnerships and proven approaches, we are aiming to achieve the following deliverables. Our roadmap will improve with customer feedback and new trends in football;

Deliverable 1

  • Stellar Account Creation and Funding - We will be able to enable users to create non-custodial Stellar Wallets than can transact, receive tokens and perform deposits and withdrawals.
  • This is a crucial step as Stellar needs to trust a team's token before transacting in it.
  • Our measure of completion is the community and reviewers being able to access the webapp here https://kipaji.app.
  • Our budget for this deliverable is $12,000
  • The budget will be used diligently and we trust and commit to achieve the results by 15th Nov, 2023

Deliverable 2

  • We should be concluding agreements with all 8 teams by the time we are achieving this deliverable.
  • The deliverable involves launching the Fan Token Issuance and Token Generation Portal. The portal will be accessible to the team where after Tokenomics advisory, the team can see an overview of their tokens, their movement and Token sale revenues.
  • The community will be able to access the portal on Stellar Testnet while teams will access the Production portal here; https://portal.kipaji.app.
  • We are requesting for a $6000 budget to make this happen.
  • ETA: 3rd Dec, 2023.

Total Expected Roadmap

Our roadmap will be guided by user's feedback. Along the pipeline, we plan to introduce the following features, and functionalities;

  1. Liquidity pools for team tokens - This will make fan tokens more liquidity while introducing new ways for fans to generate revenues
  2. NFT memorabilia - Using SEP-0039, we plan to issue stellar NFTs that can be traded as team match day tickets, fan memorabilia and other forms of event representation.
  3. Support for other sporting events - This will enable kipaji to support other sports events popular in the region, including Rugby, Tennis, and Athletics.
  4. Crypto education - Our fan token plan is among the most scalable way to push for crypto education especially in a region that deserves it most. We will use every opportunity to engage our fans with educative resources on crypto, money and digital opportunities.
  5. DAO Governance for teams - In a bit to promote a sense of community, the fans cohesion can be nurtured to facilitate even more consensus decision making for clubs using their fan tokens.

Progress on Previous (Awarded) Submissions

Lauded as an ambitious and termed a project with a potential to bring non-savvy blockchain users to stellar with other benefits like NFTs memorabilia for match attendance, team micro-ownership and decision making and so much more. A point was raise about the team's capability, to incorporate that feedback, we would like to mention, we have had the following individual join the team to aid our growth and strength; a Former FIFA Africa Affairs representative, a football analyst and pundit who is a columnist for a local newspaper, a junior ReactJS/MERN Stack developer and an excellent graphic/motion designer.

Regarding the 40% allocation of the budget to marketing activities, we have adjusted our budget according by dropping the allocation.

Kipaji APP on Stellar protocol

We have presented below how we utilize Stellar protocol to achieve minting of fan tokens, transferring fan tokens, initiating exchange of fan tokens between fans and cashing out to fiat money.

How we use Stellar protocol JS-SDK;

  1. Account Creation - Using Stellar Create_account operation and sponsor it using begin_sponsoring_reserves operations.
  2. SEP-0001 - To enable teams and sporting clubs to issue fan tokens.
  3. SEP-0002 - To create human_readable Stellar addresses against our domain. We call them paymails, enabling fans to send tokens between themselves and with the club.
  4. SEP-0005 - We combine Stellar key derivation and BIP32/44 to enable creation of mnemonic based non-custodial wallets.
  5. SEP-0007 - To enable fans and clubs to generate Stellar URI Request for funds or other operations. This can be used during fundraising for clubs, or fans requesting funds from their friends and across Stellar.
  6. SEP-0010 - This allows users to operate independently with anchors and various Stellar ecosystem products.
  7. Stellar Wallet Operations - These operations range from payment op, path payment operations, and sell offer operation to enable fans send, swap and sell their fan tokens.
  8. SEP-0024 - To facilitate fiat off-ramps with local anchors. We currently support Clickpesa in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Linkio for Nigerian Market.

Tokenization can be used to incentivize fans to participate in the sport by providing them with ownership of a physical asset. This can be used to reward fans for their participation in the sport, as well as to provide them with a sense of ownership and connection to the sport. In addition to digital assets and tokenization, other methods can be used to incentivize fans to participate in Kenyan football. For example, loyalty programs can be used to reward fans for their loyalty to the sport.
