Progress on Previous (Awarded) Submissions

MoneyStream team greatly appreciates the feedback from the reviewers.

This was the feedback we were provided with:                                                                       Product & Ecosystem Value: Payroll is a growth area, and the USDC component of this build means that this platform could likely be used in multiple countries/regions across the globe.

Technical Architecture: Bank level security claimed, though not sure how this is achieved, more detail there would be great. However, the tech architecture is feasible, easy to follow, and seems like they are ready to build.

Deliverable & Budget: Without the number of hours it's difficult to gauge the budget in more detail.

Team & Experience: Long time crypto professional and entrepreneur, supported by Blocklabs (though not sure what capacity - are they sweat equity or other investors, vendors, or something else?)

Response to Feedback:   Technical Architecture: In our previous submission, we mention that Multi-Party Computation technology, on-chain monitoring, fraud detection, and insurance coverage will be used to protect and secure users. Along with these, other technologies, and the protection of the Stellar blockchain, we achieve bank-level security for MoneyStream. Further details can be found in the Technology Architecture document.

Deliverable & Budget: The estimated number of hours to complete deliverables is now included in the Deliverables List.

Team & Experience: BlockLabs dev team fulfills the CTO role of MoneyStream led by Tomasz and will receive pay and equity.

By incorporating and addressing the feedback from the reviewers, MoneyStream’s submission has improved and aligns better with the criteria.

Product & Architecture

MoneyStream Protocol is a full suite DeFi protocol built on Stellar Blockchain with Soroban smart contracts enabling money to be transferred, processed, and settled instantly and continuously in real-time. Holdings on MoneyStream accrue compounded yield automatically on the protocol level. MoneyStream Protocol brings a dynamic, composable primitive enabling capital efficiency and fluid money in DeFi and traditional finance.

MoneyStream App is initially focused on delivering the protocol’s technology through its Wallet and Streams products. The Wallet gives users a bank-level secure place to save, manage, and transfer money, enabling wallet-to-wallet interactions for peer-to-peer, cross-border, merchant, invoice, and payroll payments. The Streams product gives anyone the ability to set up automated, continuous money transfers for distribution and collection.

MoneyStream fuses payroll data and payroll payments in a single web2.5 platform streamlining the payroll process. Employers can use MoneyStream’s automatic interest-bearing Wallet and Streams to perform payroll fully end-to-end. Once employee pay is calculated, information is verified, and the company’s payroll wallet is funded, a one-time or continuous USDC transfer can be initiated anytime to pay employees directly with MoneyStream in a wallet-to-wallet transaction. This enables businesses to run payroll autonomously, transparently, quickly and efficiently automating operations, removing intermediaries, and cutting costs significantly-  creating value in new ways for their workforce like giving employees the option to get paid out as work is completed in real-time.

MoneyStream reduces the current payroll processing time from days to seconds, minimizes expenses, eliminates human errors, maximizes working capital, and abstracts intermediaries from the payroll process, saving companies money, time, and resources.

Compared with competitors like Gusto and Deel, MoneyStream provides comprehensive financial services, by the second settlement and is significantly cheaper, faster, secure, autonomous, and capital efficient.

MoneyStream will focus on U.S. markets where 39% of small and medium-sized businesses run payroll manually and more than 60% of U.S. workers want to access their earnings ahead of their scheduled payday.

More than $10 trillion of funds move through paychecks annually, MoneyStream’s goal is to free this money making it flow efficiently creating greater financial autonomy, control, and ability for consumers and businesses.

The MoneyStream team is set up for success because we have extensive experience in the Web3 industry and in creating DeFi projects. We are builders and strategists passionate about web3 and how it can change the world. Our founder, Caseem, has consulted many early to late stage web3 projects in the areas of business development, product, marketing, strategy, operations, tokenomics and more. As a researcher and investor, he has evaluated hundreds of projects and tokens, used and contributed to several protocols and platforms across dozens of blockchains, and has been a governance participant in many DAO and NFT communities. Our CTO's last project, SpartaDEX, has collected more than $13 million USDC/USDT in liquidity from other dexes on the Arbitrum network and has experience in creating projects using rust technology like StarTerra which was one of the largest projects on the now-defunct Terra Luna network. We are excited to build MoneyStream on Stellar and create value for the network long-term.
