The major theme of the feedbacks we got in the last submission were the following

• The tech doc is pretty minimal and could use some work to show that they've thought through how they will build on Stellar and Soroban. While they mention Stellar and Soroban, it's not clear how they plan to integrate the platforms into their projects.

A high-level overview of how we integrate stellar/soroban

A custodial stellar wallet is created for users on gateway to interact with all blockchain elements

Soroban is used for minting Badges that users get as rewards into NFTs. These NFTs can be used in the casual gaming part of gateway. The NFTs acts as in-game assets like power ups & extra life etc

• Moving from NEAR, where it looks like they've built something like this before. But it's very light on the Stellar implementation. Have they looked into how it works? They're planning to create custodial accounts, for instance.
  • Why not non-custodial?
  • If custodial, have they thought about the technical structure?
  • Do they plan to use mixed accounts?
  • How do they plan to handle transaction submission?
  • Channel accounts?

Answer:

We use custodial wallets to give a better user onboarding. Basically, Gateway operates likes a "web2 in front, web3 at the back" kind of app

We sign & submit transactions on behalf of users using their custodial wallets

We are currently deployed on NEAR Protocol where we have contributed over 13,000+ transactions, onboarded 3500+ users and generated over $100,000 in abstract value. We intend to launch our casual games on Stellar and allow users to mint in-game assets as NFTS on soroban. The NFTs will function as power-ups in the games. This will generate a lot of transactions that stellar high throughput will handle and we will require access to funding to scale the product which we think we can get in the stellar ecosystem

Gateway is an AI-powered gamified learning, casual gaming and product discovery platform for web3. We onboard web2 consumers into web3 by allowing them to interact with web3 elements in a gamified web2 experience 

Imagine Gateway as an (EasyA + ProductHunt + Axie Infinity). On Gateway, an average user can learn, discover apps and play casual games all while interacting with the blockchain and getting familiar with how it works in real life

Web3 is complex and there are so many roadblocks involved for an average person to get involved and start using web3 products for their day-to-day lives i.e learning about web3 and how it affects them like how to save in stable currencies via stablecoins, interacting with web3 elements like NFTs in a fun way, finding web3 products to use like products to save in stable currencies via stablecoins etc

The need for a platform that helps consumers jump these roadblocks and onboard them in the simplest and fun way is super important. Gateway allows anyone to onboard into web3 via gaming techniques by learning and earning rewards in points (that can be redeemed into crypto) and (badges that can be minted NFTs in the marketplace).

The learning adventures are designed by the team and they follow a story mode. Learners can also leverage our custom AI model to create a learning adventure based on their current topic/interests and also find the best web3 dapps to get started within the product discovery section. 

The rewards users earn (NFTs & Points) can be used as power-ups & extra life in playing casual games on the platform 

User's NFTs can also be used to discover and get access to premium dapps/products in the stellar ecosystem

Gateway will leverage soroban smart contracts to mint user badges into NFTs and a custodial stellar wallet will be created for users to interact and store all their on-chain assets

The deliverables above are the first technical steps for us into the stellar ecosystem. Our next steps after completion are:

1. Launch of multiple casual games on Stellar 

We plan to launch a series of casual games on the app where all the NFTs minted on soroban will be used as in-game assets & power-ups. We will be able to generate lots of transaction volume & revenue on the stellar network

2. Fundraising via Token

We intend to build a revenue-generating business out of this product and we plan to raise venture funding in the future by launching a token $GATE to raise the capital. This capital is needed to scale the business

 

We intend to raise a total of $700,000 in private & public sales for

$300,000 - Team → Front End, Mobile & Backend Engineers, Smart Contract Engineers, Game developers, Designers, Legal, Marketing etc

$200,000 - Treasury → Liquidity & Market Making

$100,000 - Marketing Budget

$100,000 - Infrastructure cost (GCP, Vercel etc)

 

3. Scaling & Revenue

We will focus on partnerships with web2 communities e.g. Gaming & education communities, onboard them to leverage gateway as a tool, trigger scalable growth and subsequently drive mass transaction volume on stellar network
